The Gold Cache leads treasure hunters to the Högsee lake reservoir. According to legend, this cache was formed during a violent storm in the mountains. The storm not only washed away the hut of Johannes the dairyman, but also carried off a milk can. This was the churn in which Johannes had been saving his money. Hit by lightning, the milk churn flew through the air and the hard-earned gold coins were scattered in all directions. When the storm was over, Johannes the dairyman and his dog Bari set out to search for the gold coins...

The starting point of the new Wolf-Bear-Lynx Cache ("Wo-Bä-Lu" in German) is the tourist information office in Fiss, where you can find everything you need to know about the cache on an information board. The GPS-guided treasure hunt is all about the animals wolf, bear and lynx, which used to be indigenous to the high plateau. The cache leads you out to the Wolfsee lake area, where young and old alike can follow in the tracks of the four-legged original inhabitants. They will rummage in a bear cave, sneak through lynx territory and explore the wolves’ lair. After their successful mission a lapel pin can be picked up at the Fiss tourist information office as a reward.
